students in grades Pre-K through 8. Opened in
2009, James Stephens International Academy was
formed by the merging of Lee Middle School and
Michigan International Academy. With a
rigorous and engaging curriculum, along with a team

We would like to welcome
Friendship Baptist Church as one our business
partners. Thanks to their generous donation, we were
able to enhance the education for our students at
JSIA. Thanks again to Pastor Bing and the
congregation of Friendship Baptist Church.

Once again, the Bobby
Nichols-Fiddlesticks Charity Foundation has made a
generous donation to James Stephens International
Academy Blessings in a Backpack program. The Bobby
Nichols-Fiddlesticks Charity Foundation has provided
our backpack program with $31,000 for the 2012/2013
school year. This is a $8700 increase from the
$22300 that was donated last year. Their donation
has allowed our school to provide nutritious meals
on the weekends for our Pre-k through 5th
grade students. Our middle school students are an
integral role in this program. JSIA’s SB and Life
Skills classes assist with passing out the food for
the backpacks weekly. We couldn’t do it without
them. In addition, our amazing family
volunteers are lead the way in helping our program
be a complete success.
